The must-haves

Not a generic shopping list. This is what we actually used, photographed at the real thing.

Custom face cutouts
The highest-return item of the whole weekend. In every single photo. Order these first; anything custom has the longest lead time.
A blow-up doll
Tape the groom’s face to it. Got the biggest laugh of the weekend, and cost almost nothing.
Matching pyjamas & a bride bag
$12.94 each. Set it out on the bed before she arrives and photograph it before anyone touches it.
Plastic coupes for a champagne tower
Get the plastic ones. A tower is a photo op, not a serving strategy, and nobody wants to wash real glassware at a rental.
One big hand-painted sign
Ask the group what they can do. Someone paints, someone bakes. This became the backdrop for half the weekend’s photos.
A drink bar built around her
She loves spritzes, so we built a spritz bar. Costs almost nothing and it’s obviously, specifically hers.
A sweets table
Candy salad, custom cake pops and a sign. The small stuff built around what she actually likes is what she remembers.
Balloons for her room
The first thing she sees when she walks in. Sets the tone for the entire weekend before anyone has said a word.
